  I deleted a URL from another wordpress account a little over a month ago and was wondering how it takes for it to be available again?

  As mentioned during the cancellation, we cannot guarantee when or even if you’ll be able to re-register the domain.

  That’s because the cancellation process is mostly out of our control, and that’s true for any domain registrar.

  The good news is, your domain is still in the redemption period, which we can control. What we can do is send a payment request for the $18 domain registration (since you already received a full refund), plus an $80 recovery fee (which is imposed on us by ICANN and not under our control) and then recover the domain here, but there are only 3 days left in the redemption period.

  You’ll then be able to direct the domain anywhere by changing its name servers: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/change-name-servers/

  And, after 60 days (this time limit is also out of our control and imposed on all registrars), transfer it to another registrar: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

  After the redemption period, we will not be able to recover the domain, and we cannot guarantee when or even if you’ll be able to re-register the domain.

  I would ABSOLUTELY like to reclaim the URL frankjvaldez.com. Can we start the process? I need to make sure I have my credit card updated in this new WP account.

  Okay. We can only restore a domain from redemption if the verified domain owner, meaning the WordPress.com account that bought it, requests it, and I see that the account that used to own this domain has been closed.

  The only other way to verify domain ownership is via the contact email address provided when the domain was registered, and the contact email for frankjvaldez.com is different from the email address you’re using for the frankjvaldez77 account.

  I’ve sent an email to the address we have on file for this domain, so please check any other email accounts you have for that. Please reply to that email to confirm, and we can get the process started.
