URL Request
-
Unfortunately, I haven’t understood clearly the permanent deletion of my blog that would not let me keep my WordPress URL. I’m the owner and creator of this blog and URL as well! There’s any way to get it back? I can understand the privacy and policy of the URLs but WordPress can check that the link was created by my account and be more sensitive with cases like this. Please, help!

The deleted blog URL will not become available again. I’m sorry but you cannot recover or register any deleted blog URL. Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/You can register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Then if you wish to you can register a domain via a domain mapping upgrade because it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

Thanks timethief for letting me know. But still I don’t understand why… This doesn’t make any sense to me because there’s nothing wrong about letting the author getting it back… At least a second chance in short period of time! Waiting an answer from a moderator as well, please…

I deleted my blog years ago ie. the one that matches my username and if Staff are going to make exceptions then myself and whole lot of other bloggers I know may be beating down their doors.

I know that there are lots of bloggers who have the same problem but it sounds wrong to me not letting users to have a second chance or something. Not all of the users are expert using WordPress and most of the are experimenting their skills to learn how to use this website or how to improve their skills further. No, I’m not talking about http://www.creaxure.com URL.

If you are then there is no domain mapping upgrade for creaxure.com. If you would like to use this domain you will first need to set up domain mapping. Also know that it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com blog URL is when you are domain mapping.
You must have a free hosted WordPress.com blog to domain map from.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/In order to map to a domain one must have an underlying .wordpress.com subdomain blog to map from and the domain name your desire must be available for purchase.
You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard at > Store > My Upgrades.
See here if you do not own a domain http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
See here for mapping an existing domain that you already own http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
See here for mapping a sub-domain (for a domain with an existing website) to your WordPress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/
Dashboard > Store > My Upgrades is where you do the primary blog set up knowing it can take between 24 – 72 hours for domain name propagation to take place throughout the internet. You can view the DNS changes here > http://www.whatsmydns.net/ What’s important during that stage is to be patient.

I’m not planning to use a .com domain at the moment. I would like to use the WordPress sub-domain.

Hi there,
I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again.
There are several warnings about this on the Tools > Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email. More information is here: Delete Site
You can start a new blog by logging in to WordPress.com and then going to this link:
http://en.wordpress.com/signup/
You’re welcome to choose a new, unique address for your blog. Please let me know if I can provide any further help with this. :)
