URL rewriting after an Plugin update.

Hello Team, This is an issue where a client of ours received an email saying the below.
Howdy! Some plugins have automatically updated to their latest versions on your site at https://u10054894.ct.sendgrid.net/ls/click?upn=Vapb-2Fv7TRVb6j0mXHbpB6yZ3rXkUsabYc7TKamGMPKc-3Dx_w1_9eC47PqylwrxpAL1v5SRYSwZk8lyH-2BEDdNBg-2FndkAzzTZzU9wvIR2Q89GidNSAto-2FgiEwTIXFaQvHABZKKAo3IzhLBFAoUQXMCnwR8CnWWqJXtf1gbk7ynAYlx0W2dIuWUaCKifKDFDA0yD6iqrYVybsU7GdQhScz7W2T-2FmIHXK-2FXfUY7G7WJ1ODUO9D1wz3j-2BgG-2BPGxy-2F38XIUDoNnfc0WANlT8VoAM3TnFG0GT00uFXtSd1qvf2uxcnudXWyHkBLInqk2cDO5Lzt5fDl01YQnU53wBJY3-2FvDYVsUjr2b8jokKRIMOt0IoF5T4XBdv640Rnlm2SA11Sqtf6BViorjvVy6QKD14J2psv5xlpMJCBVT28BJ68tbjpVPEDMto7qwY29aWjVlW-2FTVNDnYPGzvAyTrIpfZVdBtKydS6nO9Mxe4eT2duMUQZeEonLGbGoF2rBXOXwpTAwUMkzzDLG2zAGburgYU9P7dQNntd97qoDqLezFsTTmklKFcyJRJgH7MXjCYcOVKXp8ESrW9faJPs-2BQTNReGZI5v5WJdTraGOOrj2GoIj9PHwx-2FQU2smyrIJbUYilUTSR9S7u-2Fv1H2GQ-3D-3D No further action is needed on your part.

Now, the main problem here was the URL redirects to an unknown page or an error page as the domain name has . in the end. Can I ask why there is a . in the end of the website? Is there anything we can do from our end to prevent this issue?
Thanks team!

I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hey there, can you send a link to the affected site? It sounds like it may not be hosted here:
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/#overview-of-optionsThe links seem to lead to the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ , so you might try posting there for help if you’re having trouble.
You might also check your site settings to see if the dot is there. And lastly, your host can probably handle a . after the address if your hosting is set up that way.
The folks in the forums for the free WordPress software will likely know more, but I hope that helps a bit!

Hi Supernovia!
Thanks for helping me with this.
The below link would end up resulting to https://livebtb.com./
I have posted in wordpress.org too, hoping that they will shed some lights. -
Also, Just a heads-up. Where do I find the Site settings ( That you are specifically mentioning?)
I don’t see any options out here either in Tools, Settings.
-
Hey,
What @supernovia meant was the Site Address setting inside the general Settings screen:
https://wordpress.org/support/article/settings-general-screen/.
Since the site you’re having this issue with is not hosted with WordPress.com, we can’t really advise more. Things do not work the same way here, as they do on WordPress.org. Hopefully, the community at the WordPress.org forums will be able to advise, but you can also try reaching out to your host.

Thank you so much fresatomica and Supernovia.
I appreciate all your help :)
Have a great day!
