Use URL of a deleted homepage

  I had the WordPress-Homepage philipstrunk.wordpress.com an deleted a couple of months ago, now I wanted to make a new homepage with the same URL. I always get the message “this Site already exists” – what can i do?

  I’m not sure why you receive that message, as the site is clearly deleted. The URLs of deleted sites are not reusable. In other words, WordPress.com blog addresses are not recycled.
