    Hi!

    Is there a plugin to create user accounts. Something similar to linked in, instagram etc. where a user can create a profile on your site?

    Hi there!

    There are some plugins out there that allow users to create their own accounts on a WordPress site. An example of that is the BuddyPress plugin: https://buddypress.org/

    However, please note that if you want to use a plugin on a WordPress.com site, you’ll need to upgrade your site to the WordPress.com Business plan or higher. You can learn more about the Business plan’s features and pricing here: https://wordpress.com/plans

    I’d also like to mention that each user on a WordPress.com site gets their own author profile. So, if a site has multiple users publishing posts, they each get their own author archive. It’s not quite the same as a profile picture, but it does list all posts published by that author. Here’s an example of an author archive: https://longreads.com/author/longreadseditors/

    Note: The appearance of the author archive depends on the theme you’re using. Different themes have different ways of displaying the author archive.
