User registration/ membership

  Hi, I’d like to set up user registration on my site but the options for membership aren’t appearing in my admin menu where the tutorial says they should be. Do I need to be on a paid plan for this?

  Hi there,

  To which tutorial are you referring? We have a tutorial at https://en.support.wordpress.com/tutorials/build-a-membership-website-tutorial/ that will allow you to set up a membership system on a free site, but if you are looking at a tutorial found elsewhere that mentions installing plugins, you’ll need to be on our Business plan, as that’s the only plan on WordPress.com that allows using plugins.
