User that paid a monthly membership, loses access to the content after cancel

After a user pays a recurrent membership with a subscription for the first time and cancel the subscription 2 days after payment because he doesn’t want to have more payments, he loses access to all the content. I don’t get it why? The user should still get access until the time for the next billing because he paid for 1 month and cancel.

I’m talking about my subscribers, not my own purchase. They have paid for premium content block but can’t access the content when they cancel the subscription.

We are only able to unlock the content when we detect an active subscriber is viewing it. It may be the case that they had some time left in the month they purchased, but we do not have a way to track that internally.
Instead they will want to cancel closer to their renewal date, and not a a few days after purchase. To view this content again they will need an active subscription.
