Username and email not recognised

    Hey, I can access my account without problems through a saved link when using my iPad, but when I try to log in using my laptop on the WordPress website it doesn’t recognise either my username or my email address, both of which I’ve verified as correct, and I can’t log in. I really need to use my laptop as there are problems when I try to add images using my iPad – can you help? Thanks 😊

    Hi there aleone89,

    Thanks so much for responding.

    I managed to get logged in eventually but couldn’t find out how to delete the post. I realised that all of my emails came from WordPress.com, but the log in page was WordPress.org. When I typed the .com address into the search engine I could log in no problem.

    Can you tell me what the difference is between the two sites?

    Glad to see you got through there!

    WordPress.org the free open source version of the WordPress software that is secured at WordPress.org and installed on a hosting provider.

    There’s pros and cons attached to either: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
