Username needs to be changed (or account deleted)

  I set up a wordpress.com account a long while ago, to help with a friend’s website, however, I used my own personal account details, but somehow the username got set to HIS name. Username is the only thing i CAN’T edit. I will never remember that his name is my username – can you someone on your end either change it for me, or completely delete my account so that I can re-add a new account with a username that references myself?
