  I am sole user on my site and I am registered as Admin. But when I tried to rearrange categories, putting categories as a sub-category to Master ( ie: putting an already existing ‘bird’ category as a sub category to a ‘NATURE’ category). when i try it i get a message to say I do not have a high enough status to do this ?

  It sounds like you are just signed in to the wrong account. Are you trying to work on briangoldsmith.wordpress.com or a different site?
