Using a deleted URL

    Hi,

    I just deleted one of my blogs with the url therojasgroup.wordpress.com and now I would like to change url of the blog ellolasvegas.wordpress.com to the domain I deleted [therojasgroup.wordpress.com]. I am getting an error stating that the url is currently in use, although I just finished deleting it. I’m pretty sure that you just need to delete the domain completely from your server so I can tie it with this account. Just let me know if there is anything that I have to do on my end.

    I’m sorry, but deleted blogs cannot be restored or reused. Deleting a blog is permanent and the name cannot be used again. There are several warnings about this on the Tools -> Delete Site page and in the help pages, and you are required to confirm the deletion by email.

    You can start a new blog by logging in to WordPress.com and then going to http://en.wordpress.com/signup/

    With any blog, you can also use your custom domain with Domain Mapping upgrade. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

    Suppose, another one previously created the blog and deleted. Now why should I, unrelated with him, be deprived of the facility to create the blog? Why do I have to pay for his mistake? In this way one can harm another by creating a blog and deleting just to restrict his/her the rival.

    Gone is still gone – part of the reason – say you had a family sharing site for you and your relatives and you delete the blog – then I get your old address and put a pile of adult pictures on it and one of your relatives surfed in and thought you had put the pictures up – bit of a family problem probably

    PS – I would be in favor of letting people get back their old address or some way to release a name – maybe with a charge so WordPress.COM could make a few bucks since the staff would need to help
