Using the featured Page Image for Pinterest Share button from Publicize
-
First, I’ll admit that I’m new to WordPress and haven’t completely figured out many of it’s tricks yet. I’m working on converting an old website to use Word Press more for CMS than blogging for right now. I’ve installed JetPack and enabled the Share buttons via Publicize. I am having a little trouble getting the Pinterest button to work on the more simpler, but very important pages, our seasonal hours of operation (http://wpmrm.org/beta/?page_id=11).
This page does not contain any images (there’s really no need for an image) so when the Pinterest button is pressed you get the “Sorry, Couldn’t find any Pinnable images or videos on this page” error message. Here’s the things I’ve tried to get around this issue:
*I tried setting a featured image
*I added an image and hid it via the visibility and display attributes
*I added an image and hid it via some Java Script
*I added an image and set the height and width to 0As a developer, I have no problem going in and hacking up some code to do what I need it to, but I just don’t know where to start looking.
Any Help would be appreciated!
