using wordpress

  I’m not sure how this works. I am using go daddy as my host, but i was wondering if i could use wordpress directly

  Hi there,

  WordPress is just the name of the software you’re using. That software is made by the community over on WordPress.org.

  The forum where you’re posting now is for WordPress.com, another hosting provider for that software, like GoDaddy, but we’re a managed host, meaning we take care of the software side of things for you, so you can just focus on the look and content on your site.

  If you have an existing site at GoDaddy that you want to move over to us, first create a new WordPress.com site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/
