Using WordPress.org via Reclaim Hosting | Stopping the mapping prompt

I have a domain with GoDaddy. I mapped it to a WordPress.com address, and later removed the mapping. I am now trying to host a WordPress.org account via Reclaim Hosting using the domain I bought from GoDaddy. I keep getting this message when I try to open the domain:

‘Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.’

I don’t want to map/upgrade with WordPress.com. I want to use WordPress.org. What do I need to do to ensure that my domain works? Any thoughts?

    Thanks,

    RM

  • It sounds like perhaps you have not set the domain’s nameservers to point to your new webhost. You will see that message if a domain has WordPress.com nameservers, but does not have domain mapping set up on our end.
