Vague HTTP error when uploading image

    Hello,

    Yesterday and today I have problems with uploading images. Those are small images (15KB) and I have 99.8% free space, yet I got magical HTTP error. One issue is that there is an error out of the blue, second problem is ‘HTTP error’ is completely not helpful/meaningful. It could basically means anything and nothing. Yesterday n-th attempt succeeded (today so far all errors).

    Hi there,

    That is a common WordPress error, both on WordPress.com and self-hosted installations, and essentially means the browser timed out while trying to upload the image to your site’s server.

    Next time it happens, clear your browser cache and unplug your modem/router for a few seconds to clear its connection cache. If that doesn’t help, completely restart your computer, or try a different browser/internet connection.
