Various Problems with site

    I’m seeing a variety of problems.

    1. I can’t login. When I try, it spins and then stops with no error message. I have to get in through cpanel.

    2. The Beaver Builder editor doesn’t work. It goes to the page with the page address and beaver builder extension, but it just shows the regular page.

    3. The admin bar doesn’t show up on any pages. I’m unable to get into the back end of pages without going to the pages section and finding that page, and using ‘edit page’.

    4. I’m seeing an error message from WP-Rocket. ”WP Rocket could not modify the .htaccess file due to missing writing permissions. Troubleshoot: How to make system files writeable.’ I called and spoke with several tech support people at my hosting company. The permissions are fine, despite this message. I tried deactivating this plugin. It wouldn’t deactivate inside wordpress. I had to do it inside my cpanel. It didn’t fix the other problems.

    5. In my cpanel error log, I’m getting a lot of error messages. ‘Cannot serve directory… No matching DirectoryIndex.’ And… ‘… found and server0generated directory index forbidden by Options directive’.

    I also have a duplicate site I use for testing plugins. It is set up the same as this site. It’s working fine. No problems.

    Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers.
