Very frustrated with issues with text formatting

Hi there! I’ve always had issues with text formatting with the previous text editor – the paragraphs don’t space out like I set it and sometimes the font changes within the content for no reason. But it’s manageable and I’m fine with that.
However, there seems to be an updated version of the text editor where I can edit the blocks of text individually and I really don’t like it. Now I can’t even edit the font?? The whole layout is even more limited to change now. Please help.
