very very slow while typing the content

I have really fast internet, a modern computer, the latest Safari (16.5) and the latest OS (13.4). It does not happening in any other web app.
I am using wordpress.com
I have cleared the web cache and deleted all cookies
I type a sentence and it will take about a minute for each character to appear on the screen
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For some reason or another something is slowing down your connection. Try a traceroute for 192.0.78.25 and ericbrooke.blog and see where the problem is.

7 till 10 and certainly 8 are very slow, that explains the lagging. You can’t do much but wait till things go faster.

If the character takes a long time to appear on the screen after you’ve pressed it, it can also be due to a device/browser-specific issue. Could you please try the following and let us know how it goes?
- Temporarily use a different browser like Chrome or Firefox and see how it works there.
- If possible, try using a different device (a different computer, for example, or a mobile/tablet device)
