  Is is possible to have video play on the home page without viewers pushing a play button?

  What video platform are you wanting to use?

  If you have a paid upgrade and want to use WordPress.com’s video player, VideoPress, there is an option for autoplay:

  VideoPress

  You need the Business Plan in order to do autoplay with a videoplayer such as YouTube since it uses iframes.
