View and Delete some html on a page
-
Hi,
Im helping a friend out as his web designer has gone awol.
He has created a pageand used custom fields to add content. However there is a random bit of code in a table producing the extra line at the end of the list which I need to get rid of.
In the source code it is this bit
<tr>
<td class=”table_icon”>
</td>
<td> Download – Updated on 20190704</td>
</tr>However I cant get to the page code. The page editing screen is populated with custom fields created by the plugin and I cant seem to get behind them. There is no visual or text editing choices or dots to view code at top right. Im not sure whether some kind of limit has been placed on pages to hide sections but cant seem to find a plugin installed which would do this.
This text and line doesnt appear in any of the custom field tables either. It seems to have been left behind by a deleted custom field.
I have tried downloading classic editor plugin but that just creates a new editing field under the custom fields and doesnt let me get to the code of the fields themselves.
How can I get to the page source html preferably through Word Press?
He also cant get hold of the developer to get the login to the cpanel or hosting to find the actual files.Any help gratefully received.
