View counts

Hi, I am in a bit of confusion, that however I am logged in from the same browser. My every login to the blog is counted as views. How to disable it? Looking forward to your support.

    Hi there,

From the Jetpack settings of your blog’s Dashboard, click the Traffic tab and scroll further down until you reach the Site Stats section. Expand it and toggle off accordingly.

Hope this helps, otherwise let us know!

It didn’t help. Do I need to take Jetpack subscription? Because the Jetpack here is not showing the option mentioned.

Hmm, ok. From the frequently asked questions on document about stats one can read the following:

Do Site Stats include my own visits to my site?

    Answer:

Only for private sites. For users with private sites, your Site Stats page will show any visits that you have made to your own site, as well the visits of other users who have access to your site.

Here is the link to the document:

Just to clarify then, is your site private at the moment?

In addition to that it would help to share its URL, so we can provide further assistance.

    Curious.

Taken from the same document I shared above, in the Views and Visitors section:

The following traffic will not reflect in your stats:

    The two last list items:

Visits you make to your own publicly available site (when logged into your account)

Visits to a publicly available site by users that are logged in, and listed as members of the site

Could you offer some further insight as to what leads you to think that your own visits are counted?

Thank you will surely check. Why I am saying so, is whenever I visit my account the view count rises with each visit by 1. Even if it is in 5 or 10 mnts. Although the visitors remained same. I have been checking this the whole evening. And the count changed with every frequent visit.

    Thank you will surely check.

    Wonderful, thank you.

Might also be worth revisiting the section on “Views and Visitors” on that same document, since it provides insights on how the numbers are processed.

Hope this helps further, let us know if you need anything further!
