Viewing a protected blog

  I created a WordPress.com account in order to request access to a protected site (https://.com). I was granted access, and read the blog once or twice, but now, some weeks later, when I try to view the blog, I get the message that it’s protected, and it’s suggested that I ‘request an invite,’ as I did before.

  If I try to follow the site from within Reader, I get the message, ‘sorry, there was a problem following http://.com’. The URL for the site actually begins with https, but I can’t seem to make Reader use that.

  Should I simply assume that my permission to access the site has been revoked? Thanks for any information.

  Sorry: in the URLs appearing in the above post, the name of the blog should precede “.com”. The place-holder text that I entered was somehow lost in the posting.

  Hi there,

  Can you please provide the actual URL of the site in question? There is no way for us to check what’s going on without that information.
