Visitor Count

If I add up the visitors for the last four days, 9 – 12 May, from the daily graphs, I get 112. There were visitors for every day from 1 – 8 May as well, but on the monthly graph the total visitors are 98. Something is not adding up?

Thank you for the reply, but this does not address my question, have seen that page earlier today. I perfectly understand the difference between Views and Visitors, but my problem is only with the amount of Visitors. If I add all visitors up from the daily graphs for all days of May, I get a total of 112, but when I go to the Monthly graph, it says the visitors for May is 98. And I have spotted it this morning, but now 12 hours later it is still the same, and although the numbers have grown, there remains a difference. Once a visitor is registered, even after two hours, I would think it should be registered on both daily and monthly graphs?

Why don’t post and page views add up to total views?Answer:
Post and page views are included in your site’s total views, but there are many views that aren’t tied to a post or page URL. The front pages, category, tag, date, and author archive pages, and search result pages are all examples of other views that only count towards total views.Hope this helps further!

@anastas10s, the OP asked about the number of visitors, not the views, so what you quoted doesn’t really answer their question.
@thedawiesetup, the differences come from the fact that there can be visitors who appear multiple times during the week or month. The unique weekly visitors will then be less than the sum of daily visitors for the same week. The same goes for unique weekly visitors being less than your total monthly visitors.I hope that clarifies it.
