Visual editor present, tools not present, word count always '0', text invisible

  I can see the post that I am writing, but when I go to preview nothing shows up. My word count says zero. I also tried to save a draft and edit it later and I went to the saved draft and it was gone. Super bummer, made me very sad. Whats going on and how do I fix it?
