Want To Change Web Address After Upgrading to Basic Plan

    Hello!

    I am currently working on my website:
    outonalimbtreefarm.wordpress.com

    and would like to change the web address to:
    outonalimbchristmastreefarm.wordpress.com

    instead. However, when I looked at changing it, WordPress tells me that it is already reserved and can’t be used. I had planned on upgrading at some point anyway and that domain name:
    outonalimbchristmastreefarm.com

    doesn’t exist yet. So, if I upgrade, will I be able to change my domain afterwards to the name I want (outonalimbchristmastreefarm)??

    If a domain is marked as reserved, it cannot be used. That means there is a username with that matches the URL you are trying to use and exact matches are reserved for that user.

    If you upgrade, you will still not be able to use outonalimbchristmastreefarm.wordpress.com. However, that will be a moot point because if you are using outonalimbchristmastreefarm.com, that is all your viewers will ever see. They will not ever see your __________.wordpress.com URL.
