Want to close this wordpress.com account

It is linked to a site where I was a contributor and I want to make sure it doesn’t cause any issues with that site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

“My” blog is not thepioneerwoman.com. This WordPress.com is linked to that site. I’m no longer writing for that blog, so I just want to make sure that if I delete this WordPress.com account it will not negatively impact that site in any way.

Hi there,
Closing your account will just remove you as a contributor from that site, but it shouldn’t affect any content you added there.
You should also be able to leave the site before closing your account by going to My Blogs in the WP-Admin dashboard, or you can ask an admin on that site to remove you before you close your account.
