Want to recover a website I designed 2 years ago

  Hi,,

  I designed a website using wordpress a few years ago, however it is no longer being hosted.

  I want to relaunch that website however I can’t find any trace of it on wordpress. Any idea what to do?

  the url was http://www.sinatuition.co.uk

  It was hosted by internetse . Do I need to contact them?

  It would almost be a miracle if a hosting provider still has a backup of a site that was deleted a few years ago. I checked with the Wayback machine, but they don’t have a backup, https://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.sinatuition.co.uk/. I’m afraid if yoy didn’t make a proper backup, your old content is gone forever.

  I’ve emailed the host anyway just to guarantee. But it’s ok. I’ll make another one… it could even be fun.

  How can I make a proper backup this time?

  If your site is on the wordpress.com platform, you realy don’t need a backup. If your site is hosted elsewhere, meaning it uses the open source wordpress.org, you’ll find several plugins at https://wordpress.org/plugins/
