Want to turn a url I own into a username

Hi,
I’m creating a blog for a friend. I just registered this blog on a new url (cherfunkmusic.wordpress.com). Now I would like to create a matching username. This need to be a new wordpress identity, that can be used by my friend. It also has to match the url.How can I register a new username called “cherfunkmusic”? It says the name is not available, but I just created it! I guess it is reserved for me. How can I get it?

The matching username is indeed reserved for you, since you created the site. I can set up that username so you can start using it — I just need to know what email address you’d like to use with it. (It needs to be an email address that isn’t already being used with another WordPress.com account.)
Do you also want to make the new username the owner of this blog? (You can change the owner later on if you want to keep your username gazzgazz4 as the owner for now, while you create the blog for your friend.)

wordpress url : cherfunkmusic.wordpress.com (already registered by gazzgazz4)Yes, the new username would be the owner of the site. As long as we both stay administrator (cherfunkmusic and gazzgazz4).

Perfect, thank you! I created the new user with the username cherfunkmusic for you, and the details about that account were sent to the email address you mentioned. (That email will have information about logging in to the new account.)
That user is also now the owner of the site cherfunkmusic.wordpress.com that you created, and your account gazzgazz4 is still an administrator on the site.
