Want to upgrade my trial

How do I upgrade my free 2 week trial to the business package?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Do you mean that you want to have a trial of the business package? Or that you already know you want it and wish to purchase it (while making sure your trial is canceled)?

I am also not seeing any upgrades (trial or purchased) associated with that site or with your WordPress.com user account.

I want a trial for the business package. I need support over the phone to transfer a site I currently have to WordPress. Will a trial for the business package give me phone support?

Also, I need my url to be http://www.kiricole.com. No “wordpress” in it. Currently, my “blog” says kiricole.wordpress.com. Why is that? And I am setting up a website with a blog, not just a blog. Do I have to do something special to make this distinction?

WordPress.com does not offer phone support.

Is there a particular issue that you are having in migrating to WordPress.com?

You just need to add a custom domain to your site. This is an upgrade that can be purchased on its own, or it is include din both WorDPress.com Premium and Business.

Not really. A blog is really just frequently updated content on a website presented in a “timeline” fashion. One thing I suggest to people who are looking to make a website (one that doesn’t change frequently like a blog does) is to set their front page to be a “static” page rather than one that shows blog posts:

    Set the Homepage

I already have a website at http://www.kiricole.com. It is hosted by Homestead. But their technology is too unsophisticated for my current needs. So, that is why I am establishing a website with WordPress.

Since I already have the domain http://www.kiricole.com what do I have to do so that it is the URL for my new WordPress website? Do I have to transfer it over from Homestead to WordPress?

Will my site automatically be mobile friendly? I REALLY need this. And if it will be mobile friendly, will it still look the way that my site does on a computer? (I don’t want to lose pictures, content, etc.

Nope, you just need to map it to your WordPress.com site.

This may be a something worth reading regarding mobile ready themes:

In general, if you want your mobile theme to look the exact same as the desktop computer, you don’t want a “mobile friendly” theme. Mobile friendly is almost always laid out differently than a desktop browser version so that elements display and are navigated more easily on the phone’s smaller screen.
