Want to upload existing website XHTML files but can't find a way

  • Unknown's avatar

would like to import/upload existing XHTML files (including file types like XHTML and JPEG images and some WMV video files) from a former web hosting site. These files were written by me (the author) a while ago and are customized. I would not enjoy having to “recreate” an entire website with object oriented site building software.

Please advise on how to import/upload these files; if not possible then I need to get a refund for my WORDPRESS subscription as I will NOT recreate a website from scratch.

    Hey Michael,

In order to upload files into your WordPress.com site, you’ll need the import to be in one of the accepted formats you’ll find here:

    Import a Website

As I’m not certain what platform your older site is in, I can’t point you in a specific direction, but that document should provide you with the instruction necessary.

If you need help, let me know!

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

I would like to respectfully request a refund to my visa card for the subscription to WordPress Premium ($99/yr) as I can not use this service.

This appears to be less of a web hosting site and more of a datalogging archiving site for blogs ??

Please confirm that you have reimbursed my credit card for the subscription fee(s) incurred by sending me an E-mail below.

    Thank you,
    Michael Mattie

    Hey there,

I’ve issued your refund for $99, and canceled your Premium upgrade.

WordPress.com is a host for websites and blogs created here, using the WordPress platform.

If I can help with anything else at all, please do let me know! All the best to you.
