Want to use deleted account domain, but it is still 'reserved'

  Hi

  I deleted another account a few months ago, but apparently still can’t use the domain reserved for that account (i.e. the username associated with it) on my new one. The username/domain is not in use by anyone else, nor is it likely to be – it’s my own name, and it’s not common.

  Obviously I can’t get into my deleted account to make any changes. Is there anything else I can do? Or do I just need to come up with a different domain?

  To clarify, this is the free ‘Blog Address’ I’m talking about – the something-something.wordpress.com kind

  Hi there,

  Deleted WordPress.com addresses cannot be used, even by the original owner. This was explained in the warning messages on the screen where you deleted the site.
