Wanting to share a story I saw on someone else’s feed/blog.

    I saw a particular version of a story and I wanted to share THIS PARTICULAR VERSION with my readers. So, I clicked on ‘share’. Three options came up — Facebook, Twitter and my blog. I clicked on my blog and was taken to a page that I needed to write a post — about this other story, sort of a introduction. But, the problem is, try as I might the URL to that story never appeared. And, try as I might I cannot return to that particular page — not on the web, not in the app. Now, this was from the app, but am I mistaken as to how exactly the ‘share’ function works? Doesn’t, at some point, doesn’t the URL or some link to the original story/post/blog have to manifest itself? Otherwise, what exactly am I sharing?

    Do you mean you clicked the Share button in the Reader in the app? Android or iOS?

    Can you please tell us the link of the post you’re trying to share, as well as the title of the draft post on your site that was created?

    I also see you have a WordPress.com site and a self-hosted site connected by Jetpack in your account. To which site were you trying to share?
