wanting to strip down Contempt

  I am using Contempt theme right now, and I’d like to remove things like “BlogRoll,” “Meta” and the ambility for users to post comments. I thought I’d turned of the comments already by unchecking the top box in the comments area, but it still appears.

  For now, I am looking for a very simple message display. If this theme won’t allow this, do you have another simple theme to suggest?

  Hi. If you wish to remove the default widgets from the sidebar, you actually need to insert an empty text widget. Here’s why:
