/?wc-ajax=checkout 504 error

I have set up the stripe payment gateway to work with woocommerce but everytime the checkout happens it returns a 504 in the network tab. The payment is then taken successfully by stripe and there is no errors being returned from them.
I have tried updating the timeout time and updating the php memory limit but still no luck.
PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE I GO INSANE.

If you have WooCommerce installed on a WordPress.com Business Plan or have a paid WooCommerce extension on a self-hosted site you can open a ticket while logged into your account at:
https://woocommerce.com/my-account/create-a-ticket/
But, if your site is self-hosted and built using the WordPress.org open software, you’ll need to seek assistance from their forums which can be found at:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce
