We don’t know our original URL

How can we find out our original WordPress URL?
We recently migrated our site and changed the dns settings for our domain to the new platform and therefore WordPress must have switched to the old URL and now we cannot log into it.

https://swordofattraction.wordpress.com is the URL of the only site under your account here.
If you’re looking for a different site, we can help, but we do need to know its URL first.

Hello again and thank you for your reply.
So that is a random domain I’d set up a long time ago with my email address. The account that has been lost was set up with a different email address, it could have been either of these.
Most likely:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)Unlikely:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
(email visible only to moderators and staff)Now when I try to log into WordPress with those two email address there is no longer any site.
So the only thing that we did is change our DNS settings in siteground so that our custom domain (paulameir.com) would be pointing to our Kajabi site and not WordPress.
However we wanted to keep WordPress open but I did not think about the fact that it would revert to its original URL which I do not know or know how to find (have checked all emails but nothing).
So what must have happened here? Has the site just been deleted by WordPress because it lost the custom domain? Or is it still accessible and are we able to somehow find out the original URL? Can you help with this?

Hi there,
So, I think I see what is going on here. There is a WordPress.com account connected to each of the first two emails you provided. The first email does not have a site under it. The second email you provided had a site connected to it, but both the account and the site was deleted at some point. However, the account was eventually recovered, but not the site.
The site under that account,
creativespacenorwich573592286, has been deleted for more than 30 days, and as a result, has been purged and cannot be restored. So, if that is the site you are referring to, it can unfortunately no longer be recovered. For more information, please visit:

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Thanks,

Hello again,
I am afraid the account was working and not deleted up to 29th of Jan when we did the switch.
So it seems that the account in question has been disconnected or deleted and wiped off the system if you cannot see any accounts connected with those email address bar the one you said has been deleted. There is another account connected which is executive coaching site – this one hasn’t been deleted but not the one we are after.
What on earth could have happened to the site we had?? I have the backup files I could send to reinistate if possible?

Was the site you had before hosted here or with SiteGround? If it was with them, you’ll want to get in touch to see what their policies are.
If it was here, and if it was deleted more than 30 days ago, it would be gone. We don’t delete sites for our users, but when they delete them on their own, we respect that after giving them 30 days to change their minds.
You did mention you have the backup files, though; these will most likely contain clues as to what the domain was, so if you want to open those up (particularly any xml files, or sql files if that’s what you have) and search for “.com” you’re likely to find the actual domain. And if we know that we can confirm one way or another whether it was hosted here.
