Web address
-
I have an issue. I had used litupwithsunshine for my blog address and got the website, http://www.litupwithsunshine.wordpress.com
I deleted the website and was informed that it would be permanently unrecoverable after 30 days. However, months later I have beeen trying to rename my other site, http://www.thebluedipper.wordpress.com to http://www.litupwithsunshine.wordpress.com and I am still being told that the website is unavailable and already in use.
Could anyone please tell me how to delete this site from history so that I am able to rename my current blog aptly?
Thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there, the 30 days mentioned is the time period when it is still possible for the site owner to recover their deleted site. After that period it’s not possible to recover or reuse that site address.
Sorry for no better news

Hi –
I am following up on the Modlook tag. It will not be possible to use litupwithsunshine.wordpress.com again as a site name because it was deleted seven months ago.
-
Yes, but then that domain name should be available to be used for a different blog, right?

Hello again, no it is not. When you delete a site you permanently delete both the contents and the site address. The deleted site address cannot be re-registered.
Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

Hi there,
No, a deleted blog address cannot be reused as stated in our official documentation:
Once the 30 days have passed, all of your site data is purged and cannot be restored, and the site address is deleted and cannot be reused.
