  How do I change the web address of my blog? I don’t want a custom one. I am fine with wordpress being in the address, just not happy with my original name. thanks.

  There are instructions for doing that here:

  Do keep in mind that you will not be able to access or reuse the old URL (nor will anyone else). If you want to use your existing URL for something else, you should start a new WordPress.com site with the new name and then migrate your content to the new site.
