webhost migration

I have changed my webhost provider and i am trying to transfer my website. I am using siteground as my new provider and they instructed to me install a plugin to wordpress so that i can transfer the website. I keep receiving the following error on wordpress when trying to install the plugin Upload problem: json_syntax.
I need support urgently and i cannot believe there is no contact number to help with the problem. I would really appreciate the chance to talk to someone on the phone. i understand that if i am a paid member i can receive support but i think its unnecessary to purchase a plan just to talk to someone, since my website was working fine for the past year.
