We are using our site to market ourselves to Corporates. We tested it with a few companies and it appears to be blocked with a message, “this websense category is filtered blogs and personal sites”
This means that we cannot use wordpress.com for our marketing purposes. All our work appears to have been nulled and our dreams dashed.
Is there a solution to this?

Unfortunately there isn’t much that we can do since we have no control over Websense.
If you’re trying to connect at work, you might try asking your employer to whitelist WordPress.com sites.Otherwise contact Websense at http://www.websense.com/content/contact-us.aspx

With all due respect to you you are not making sense. This matter has nothing to do with our web acces.
We are a corporate training company using our wordpress site to market ourselves to Corporate firms. Most of these firms are using websense, internationally, to block social media sites such as word press. We run google adwords campaigns, and we can’t ask every prospect to whitelist our site.
We are using a standard wordpress.com service. If we are having this problem then millions of other wordpress.com clients are having this problem.
This renders wordpress.com as a B2B marketing tool completely useless. If you cant solve the problem then you should warn your customers that your service cannot be used for business purposes.
I however somehow doubt that wordpress.com has survived this long without a solution to this. Is there a way that you can escalate this complaint

I understand. Therefore I highly recommend contacting Websense with the suggestion to change their software regarding this issue. They can control the software to approve sites like WordPress.com, Blogger, Tumblr, and all other major platforms.
