  Hi I’d like to create a wordpress ecommerce site but I would like to host elsewhere as I need to host multiple sites . Is this possible and if it is – how much does it cost?

  I don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

  Hi there!

  If you want to host a WordPress site elsewhere, you’ll be using the WordPress.org software. You won’t need to pay us at WordPress.com as we’re also a hosting service provider, and you only need one hosting service to host your site.

  A WordPress site hosted elsewhere uses the WordPress.org software. On the other hand, sites hosted by us are called WordPress.com sites. There are some differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. If you aren’t sure about them, please check the following page that explains it well: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org.
