  I have a website that was set up for me by others some years ago. The bottom of the main page says it is powered by WordPress. I would like to update some of the content but have no idea what usernames/ passwords apply. If I cannot access, my only solution seems to be cancelling the hosting service (network solutions) & having a new site created. Frustrating not being able to speak to someone directly for assistance & hoping this forum can assist. Thanks.

  From what you tell, it looks as if you are talking about a self-hosted site, not a site running on the wordpress.com platform.

  To solve your problem, you must take a dive into the wordpress.org documentation – https://wordpress.org/documentation/ – or ask for help in their forums – https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
