  Does WordPress back up my website each day, or is that something that happens through the host of the website?

  WordPress.com backs up https://418ascendant.wordpress.com/ regularly and on multiple servers so content is never lost. You can also export an xml file of your content. If you’re talking about 418ascendant.com/ (which currently doesn’t seem to be displaying correctly) then you need to make your own backups of a self-hosted site that is using the WordPress.org software (there are various plugins available) although you could ask BlueHost (where that site is hosted) if they also do that.
