  Hello, I have had a WordPress site for several years and now it’s not letting me login to update it. What happened?

  Hi there, what’s the address of that WPcom site?

  Since the account you are posting from is only a few hours old, it’s likely you need to be logged in with a different WPcom username account. First entirely log out of this account you are using to post to the forums. Then log back in using the other WPcom username (or the email address you used to register the site, either will do) and that account’s password.

  If that doesn’t work, you’ll need to recover your other account using the account recovery form at https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/ Make sure to give the account recovery team as much information as possible, including the email address you used to register the account.
