  I’m considering creating an eCommerece site. What does ‘best in class’ web hosting mean? Previously, I’d tried getting a site, and retained the services of an underwriter to process credit card payments. Am I still able to use them, or am I forced to use WordPress for credit card processing/payments?

  We recently received a “Top Tier” rating in this independent test of WordPress hosting providers (under the $25-50 price tier here) so by best in class we mean that we rank very highly when compared to our peers.

  Happy to answer any specific questions you have however. Did you have a concern about hosting that you would like us to look into?

  We do not offer built in ecommerce functionality on WordPress.com, but you can add it by upgrading to the business plan and installing the WooCommerce plugin. Once you have upgraded, you can use any merchant processor that offers compatibility with WooCommerce. Who are you using as your processor currently? Happy to check and see if they offer a WooCommerce integration.
