Website Domain Name Change in Settings on Admin Site

I am in the process of merging two sites and have forwarded the domain to the new site I want it to be, however, the domain once you were on the site still appeared as the old site. I went into my settings and changed the name of the domain. Now it won’t let me log back into my account. Please help! I need access again ASAP!
