Hello there!
For the past five days I have not been able to access my website (theballhog.net) in any way.
As a visitor, I get the message ‘The site is experiencing technical difficulties.’.
As an admin, I come across a message ‘The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.’
And the recovery link that you’ve sent me doesn’t work: ‘Recovery Mode not initialized.’.Please let me know how I can resolve the issue.

We can’t help directly because we don’t host theballhog.net on our WordPress.com managed hosting. As a result we don’t have the ability to take a closer look at your site.
Instead your host (Bluehost) uses the open-source variant of the WordPress platform which functions differently than what we offer here on WordPress.com. The good news though is that help is available here at the open-source WordPress forums: https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
The folks over in the open-source forums are more familiar with these kinds of issues and are in the best position to help, thanks!
