Website editing

    Hello, I have a website utilizing WordPress and Kinghost.com.br as host. I want to change the website’s theme, but until I fix everything with the new theme, I want it to keep working as it is right now, with the old theme, while I edit the new one. Is that possible, and if it is, how can I do it? Thank You.

    Hi there,

    Your site uses the self-hosted WordPress.org software, so we’re not really able to help you in the WordPress.com forums.

    But briefly, you’ll need a staging environment. That’s either something you can set up with your host, or you can install a copy of the WordPress software directly on your computer using an app called WAMP. You can then make your changes on that staging site, and upload it to your live server once you’re ready.

    The self-hosted forums will be better able to help you regarding the details of doing this.
