website hacked to include unwanted advertising

  My blog has been hacked and has now got hyperlinks on certain words that cause an advert for the iphone to spring up. I went into the posts to try to edit out the hyperlinks, but I don’t know change these hyperlinks as they do not show in my posts.

  Please could you remove these adverts!

  And is there a way to stop this from happening again?

  That’s not a hack, but rather a corrupt browser extension.

  Please try disabling all of your browser extensions to see if that makes a difference, or check from another browser.

  Was AdBlock the extension causing the problem?

  We don’t run the types of ads you’re describing, so I urge you to find the corrupt extension forcing the ads on you if you haven’t already.

  No Adblock was not causing the problem – it was the solution.

  The problem came from a corrupt browser extension as you suggested.
