  I bought a hosting site through gator
  And it’s called…how do I hook that up with WordPress? Or did I do it already?

  Hello there,

  If you’ve purchased hosting through Hostgator, you would not need WordPress.com – as this would be completely separate.

  I would recommend reaching out to Hostgator support as they may be able to set you up with some WordPress hosting.
