  Does WordPress host websites?

  Hi there,

  WordPress.com is a managed service for WordPress sites, so from a technical standpoint we do “host” your site. However, we are not like a “traditional web host” in that we do not sell server space to use as you wish.

  However, if you start a site with us (or transfer an existing site) yes we would host that here under your account. Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
